We are extremely proud of Thomas for his first time racing in the Micro Max class. The difference being that, essentially, he is managing a much softer tyre and a completely different power delivery. After some suggestions that Thomas is only able to show his skills in his Honda, we think he’s doing a great job at showing he can transfer them to whatever he is driving!
Heat 1: P10 to start, Thomas did really well to make some great moves and got himself up to P5, this being his first time racing in a Micro Max so he is adjusting well!
Heat 2: Thomas started P2, and after a couple of unfortunate racing incidents by others causing a trip to the back of the grid after contact, he finished a respectable P9 by pulling off some outstanding overtakes and amazing pace. He just never gives up.
Thomas was the second fastest kid on the circuit at one point. Considering it’s his first ever race we will take that as a win! Let’s see what tomorrow brings…
Huge thanks to Teesside Karting and HRS Racing Engines. Without these guys we wouldn’t have even been able to complete as this kart has been kindly lent to us for the weekend by Teesside Karting! Unfortunately UKC dropped the Honda category, but we had already agreed to race in honour of people who have lost their lives due to, or are suffering from bullying.
Massive thanks to Andy Ambrose Racing and Ian for coming and helping, as always your help is really valued!
